SpRiNg BrEaK

Well to start spring break off we headed down to vegas to my old roomies wedding. We did priceline and got to stay in a way nice 4 star hotel on friday night! that night we went to buffalo wild wings because JK has been craving it for pretty much the last year. After dinner we stopped at my favorite yogurt place ever called Yogurtland. It is to die for. Then we headed down to the strip to so that I could have my first ever gambling experience. Let me just tell you, it wasn't that fun. After we wasted money we headed down to watch the fountain show, it was pretty cool but I think the funnest part was people watching after. That was a blast. The next day it was Kourtney and Matts wedding so we headed to the Las Vegas temple. I love going to see new temples and to sealings. The spirit is just so unbelievably strong. After the temple ceremony we headed over to the JW marriot where the luncheon and reception was held. Wow talk about amazing everything! it was such a great wedding and I honestly don't know if ill ever see a wedding like that again! over all it was such a great weekend to start of spring break considering JK had to work the whole week.

Then, on Monday we were over at our friends Kacen, and Tanyas and Brant had this great idea that we go camping on Tuesday night, so after JK got off work on Tuesday we all packed up and went out to this hidden little place JK knew about and went camping. It was so much fun to just sit by the fire, eat smores, and talk with good friends. Unfortunately JK and I had to get up at 630 the next morning so that JK could make it to work on time. That about sums up our spring break activities due to work. Overall it was a great little break from school.

Nascar

Well as many of you may know JK's family is very big Nascar fans, so of course when Nascar was in vegas we had to go! May I tell you that Nascar fans are very interesting, and drink more beer than I ever thought possible. I wish I would have got some pictures of the lovely fans. Overall it was a lot of fun though and I was even able to get a funnel cake, which was the highlight of my day! I had a lot of fun and I am glad I got to experience it!

The big 21!

Well Im happy to say Im finally 21! I had an amazing birthday thanks to my wonderful husband and my family that was all in town for the day! To start off the day JK took me to breakfast, after breakfast we went over to my parents house to see everyone. Because J was a procrastinator he still had some shopping to do for my birthday so my sister and I took our nieces to the Justin Bieber movie. (very mature I know) After the movie I met back up with J and we just hung out at the parents. For dinner that night we had my usual birthday dinner of scones. I am in love with them! For dessert we had frozen lemonade cake and then after that we played Just Dance 2 for literally 3 hours. It was such an amazing day and I am so grateful for all the amazing people I was able to spend my day with.

LoVe DaY

For our first Valentines as a married couple we decided to keep things nice and simple. We didn't even want to try and venture out into the long waits at restaurants so we just made dinner and stayed in. I made Chicken Alfredo with homemade breadsticks. For dessert I made chocolate covered strawberries and homemade cakebites. After dinner we exchanged gifts, I was so excited to give JK his because i'd had it forever and finally got around to finish it. I gave him our 2010 book of all our adventures, and I also made him a blanket of both of our high school t-shirts. Dixie and Pineview unite. ;) I guess our kids will just have to go to desert hills so there is no bias. JK got me a fake rose, because our love will never die and because I told him he didn't need to spend 100 bucks on flowers that will die in a week. He also got me a 3 months pass to fabulous freddys. Thank goodness because my car seriously needed it. He also gave me a "coupon" for my choice of paint for this old dresser we bought at a garage sell for 2 bucks. After that we redboxed Easy A and just cuddled on the couch. I am so grateful that I have such an amazing husband. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you with all my heart baby!

I am absolutely the worst at keeping up on our blog, but in my own defense we have not gotten internet at our house yet so in order to do it i have to go to one of our parents houses. Anyways November and December have been filled with going to school and working. For thanksgiving were we able to go to both our families houses for a double thanksgiving. We are so so grateful that we have both our families within 5 minutes of our house. The pictures show you all we've been up to in the past month!

JK's heaven
Once again JK is out of town working in Elko Nevada so I have a little time to catch up on the blog. Life has been so crazy busy lately between both of us going to school and working. We are so grateful for the time we have together. Last weekend we were able to go up north to two weddings. First we attended my sister Melissa and her new husband Steve's wedding. It was such a great wedding and the kids especially enjoyed getting all dressed up, well correction the girls enjoyed it we had to bribe Carter with a new Star Wars toy. The next day we went to JK's best friend Kurt's wedding. It was so much fun. Also to add to the busy weekend we babysat the kids while Melissa and Steve went on their honeymoon. It was very tiring but we loved every second of it. I wish that they lived closer!
