wow. So much for my new years resolution of keeping up with the blog better. Here is a quick catch up on what is happening in our lives... the biggest news is that we are expected our first baby in August and it's a BOY! We could not be happier and are so excited for this next part of our lives. I am now in my second semester in the Elementary Education program and because the baby is due in August I will be taking one semester off then will for sure finish my bachelors degree! only one year left! I plan on keeping details about this pregnancy better, but with school and the joys that come along with being pregnant I have not had the time or energy to do so. So hopefully i can do a little better now that I am feeling better.
In January Kacen and Tanya invited us to take a drive on up to Zions with plans on doing a little hike. Little did we know it would be freaking freezing, so it turned more into a drive than a hike but was still fun to take a drive.
The first part of February we were lucky enough to take a trip up to SLC to see my sister and her husband sealed in the temple. It was such an amazing ceremony and we feel so blessed to have been able to attend. I look forward to any time that my whole family can get together.
For Valentines day we spent a wonderful evening at home with a home cooked meal. We did not want to deal with all the people out to eat so I made Chicken Alfredo, cupcakes, and chocolate covered Strawberries. It is so nice to be able to just relax together since life has been so busy. We also decided it was time to take the first "belly" picture. This is at 13 weeks, so not much there yet just a tiny pudge. JK was feeling left out so we took one of his belly too, now we are trying to decide who is actually carrying the baby. haha I am now 17 weeks and will try and post a picture sometime over the next week.
Last weekend we were lucky enough to go down to vegas to see JK race. He raced the road course this time which is way different than the circle track. He had a blast and the weather was so amazing nearly 80 degrees.
